Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go

TRW is building on its innovative driver assist product portfolio by adding a traffic jam assistant Stop & Go functionality to its Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system. Using the ACC long-range radar, Traffic Jam Assistant allows the ACC vehicle to follow a target to stop and, upon driver command, follow that target in traffic jam situations. An additional sensor will be used (e.g. camera) to cover a nearer but wider field in front of the vehicle. Automatic Go will be enabled, to comfortably follow the target vehicle in a traffic jam situation.
