TRW has used its expertise in sensor technology to develop a system that offers a field of view that covers most of the blind-spot area around a vehicle, at a range of 50m. If a moving object is detected within the specified zone, a warning signal is issued. Lane Change Assist features a fast reaction time for high-speed driving situations; the system is fully operational at speeds up to 250km/h.
