Bucket Tappets
The mechanical bucket tappets are positioned between the camshaft and the valves, and are directly actuated by the camshaft. The tappet transmits the movement of the cam to the end of the valve stem, thereby activating the valve.
Rocker Arm Assemblies
A rocker arm assembly is an indirect valve actuating system consisting of rocker arms and a shaft. The rocker arm transforms the rotational movement of the cam lobe into a stroke and actuates the valves.
